Jacob Deal, Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT), was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, TX. After graduating high school in 2002, he attended Texas A&M Commerce University where he ran track for 2 years. He then transferred to Stephen F. Austin Statue University where he studied Kinesiology and where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2006 and Master of Science Degree in 2008. After graduating with his Masters in Science he worked as a personal trainer in Tyler, TX and then began full time employment in 2010 as a Therapy Rehab Director/Therapy Rehab Tech in a skilled Nursing Facility in Kilgore, TX. Following a few years of professional experience as a Personal Trainer, Rehab Director, and Therapy Tech Jacob decided to pursue additional education in the field of Physical Therapy. He attended Northeast Texas Community College where he earned an Associate of Applied Science Degree in 2012. Jacob worked as a Physical Therapy Assistant for 7 years. Jacob then pursued a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018 at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. He earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in August of 2020. He became a licensed Physical Therapist in September of 2020. He has been working with patients for over 10 years with diagnoses ranging from orthopedics, neurological, vestibular/balance, soft tissue injuries, workers compensation cases, sports rehab, cardiac rehabilitation, lymphedema, and general reconditioning. He has also worked with multiple settings ranging from Outpatient, Inpatient Rehab, Acute Care, Intensive Care Unit, Skilled Nursing Care, and Home Health.

Jacob’s future plans are to start working on his certifications as an Orthopedic certified
Specialist and The Mckenzie Method (MDT).

In Jacob’s free time he likes to spend time with his wife and 4 children ages 9, 7, 5, and 2. He enjoys working in the yard, fishing, hunting with his family and watching his children’s youth sports.
