Matthew Malone, PT, DPT, GTS, ITPT is a licensed physical therapist, as well as one of the co-owners of Kinetic Physical Therapy Associates. He has certifications and specializations in Functional Dry Needling from KinetaCore®, instrumented soft tissue mobilization application as a Graston Technique Specialist®, and is an ImPACT Trained Physical Therapist for concussion management. Matthew enjoys orthopedic and sports medicine cases, ranging from joint replacements, soft tissue repairs, as well as sprains, strains, and overuse injuries. He also sees Vestibular (balance) disorders, Worker’s Comp injury cases, and general de-conditioning.
Matthew is a homegrown product, as he graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School where he was involved in several academic and sport extracurriculars. He then attended the University of Louisiana – Monroe, graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology focused in Exercise Science. Matthew then obtained his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas State University in 2012 before moving back to Northeast Texas where he currently resides. Since graduating from Physical Therapy school, Matthew stays up to date by regularly attending continuing education courses to learn about the changes in medicine as well as to be able to deliver the best care possible to his patients.
In his spare time, Matthew enjoys being with his wife and two boys, as well as hunting, fishing, various outdoor sports, and going to ballgames.
“It was a blessing to be able to come back home to help give back to the community that gave, and still does give so much to me,” Matthew says. “My goal is to help improve the quality of life in patient’s I see, so that they can get back to the activities they enjoy.”
