THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE

Exercise is the foundation of the physical therapy treatment program. Each exercise program will be individually created to match the specific needs and goals of the patient. We have a variety of equipment to select from when prescribing exercise such as: recumbent bikes, standing ellipticals, free weights, squat machines, and more! Our therapists will design a program that will address your impairments and make sure you are moving in a safe, functional, and effective manner.

MANUAL TECHNIQUES

Often coupled with therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques deliver a hands-on treatment approach that is very specific to the structures being targeted. Manual techniques our team may use include passive range of motion stretches, joint mobilizations, spine manipulation, and soft tissue mobility activities. The soft tissue can be manipulated with the hands alone, but can also be addressed with specialized soft tissue tools (IASTM: Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization) to reach those deeper structures that are harder to get to. Functional Dry Needling is also a new approach that may be discussed.

SPORTS REHAB

Whether you’re in little league, a varsity athlete, or the die-hard weekend warrior, we’ve got you covered on those nagging sports related injuries. Our team treats acute strains and sprains, as well as full rehabilitation through return-to-play programs after post operative cases. We will work closely with the athlete’s coaches and athletic trainers to get back on the field of play as quick as possible.

POST SURGICAL CARE

Having surgery? Well, you’ve come to the right place! Our therapists see a wide variety of Orthopeadic post operative cases in the clinic. From rotator cuff repairs and carpal tunnel release in the upper extremities, to hip/knee replacements and Achilles Tendon repairs in the lower extremities, as well as spine fusions and nerve decompression procedures, we can take care of your many post surgical needs. If you plan to have surgery soon and have not had the procedure yet, feel free to stop by one of our locations to talk to our therapists about what to expect during the recovery time.

WORKERS' COMP

Unfortunately accidents happen while at work. Fortunately, we accept Workers’ Compensation claims and are here to get you back to work as quick as possible! We offer flexible clinic hours to minimize time off from work and to assist in the transition back to full time duties.

VESTIBULAR & BALANCE TRAINING

Falls and balance deficits are major areas of concern for safety while performing your daily activities. If you have vestibular, or inner ear, problems that cause dizziness, dis-equilibrium, or falls, physical therapy may be able to help resolve the issue. A balance program will work to build strength and stability in the large muscle groups of the body, aiding in keeping proper posture and control while moving. Habituation exercises can also be done to acclimate your body to certain movements that may have previously caused the dizziness symptoms. These programs are effective in improving patient’s overall safety with their usual activities, with emphasis on reducing risk of falling.
