Heather Brooks has been practicing physical therapy for 18 years. She attended Stephen F. Austin State University and then graduated from The University of Texas Medical Branch – Galveston in 2002 with her Masters in Physical Therapy. She began her career as a Neuro therapist treating a variety of patients with neurological injuries. She then ventured into Home Health where she treated pediatrics and geriatrics and was the coordinator of the therapy department. After returning back into the Outpatient clinic, she became interested in pelvic floor and women’s health.
Heather attended Texas Woman’s University where she received her Certification in Women’s Health Physical Therapy in 2012. She began the women’s health program in Longview, Texas where she worked alongside many Urologists, OB-GYNs, and Pelvic Floor Reconstruction Specialists. She joined Kinetic Physical Therapy in 2019. She has been practicing pelvic floor physical therapy for 8 years and has a deep passion for helping both men and women with pelvic floor disorders. She is also trained in dry needling for the pelvic floor. She is married with two girls and they live on a farm where they raise and show Red Brangus cattle. In her spare time, Heather enjoys running, working out, reading, and spending time at livestock shows with her family. Heather’s goal is to be the Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist of choice in the East Texas area.
